Food and Your Baby

Food for pregnant women more than the need for non-pregnant women.


Food uses are :
  • to growth fetus in the womb
  • to maintain health and vigor of his own mother's body
  • in order that the wounds heal quickly labor in childbirth
  • to hold a reserve for lactation
How :
  • Mother should eat regularly meals three times a day
  • Dish should be composed of materials which consist of nutritious foods (staple food, vegetables, fruits and drinking one glass of milk every day
  • Use a variety of foods available
How much food is needed ??
If the condition of the mother's body is not disturbed or large amount of edible food is as listed in the appendix. But if an interruption occurs during pregnancy it can be arranged as follows :

In the trimester I :
  • at the age of 1 - 3 months of pregnancy is the possibility of weight loss. This is due the interference dizziness, nausea and even vomiting. It is recommended for small meals but often. Form of dry food or not gravy

In the trimester II :
  • Improve maternal appetite, eating food provided : 3 x 1 x day plus snack. Animal meal side dishes such as eggs, fish, meat, anchovies, liver is very good and useful to avoid the lack of blood.

In the trimester III :
  • food must be adapted to circumstances mother 's body
  • when pregnant women have excess weight, the staple food and starchy reduced and reproduce vegetables and fresh fruits to avoid constipation
In the event of poisoning pregnancy (swelling in the feet) so do not add salt in everyday cooking.

Important Messages for Pregnant Women :

  1. Pregnant women should eat and drink more than when not pregnant
  2. To prevent anemia during pregnancy, the mother must eat a lot of food sources of iron, such as dark green vegetables, tofu, green bean, red beans and other legumes, eggs, fish and meat
  3. Do not forget to drink the blood of tablets plus 1 eggs every day
  4. To prevent tooth loss and bone fragile, pregnant women should eat lots of calcium food sources, such as nuts, eggs, fish / small fish eaten with bones, green leafy vegetables
  5. Recognize the symptoms of anemia during pregnancy, namely : pale, dizzy, weak and dizzy vision
  6. During pregnancy eat varied food in sufficient quantities
  7. If the mother's appetite is less, eat fresh food, fresh thing such as : fruit, fruit juice, vegetable nodes, etc.
  8. Avoid restrictions on food, because it will harm the health of mothers
  9. Avoid smoking and drinking because it will endanger the safety of mother and fetus
  10. Do not forget to consult a midwife or a health center regularly, so that the mother and her unborn stay healthy

How to Breast Self - Checking

Breast cancer if found early, the cure will give better results. It is therefore important to examine their own breasts regularly.
These are one way of breast self checking :

  • Put your left hand behind your head and check the left breast using right hand
  • Use your three middle fingers to do the inspection, the first time starting from the collarbone down to the nipple. Then do the examination in a clockwise direction in your breast. Do it frrom the outside entrance to the breast nipple
  • Breast tissue to examine the deeper, use a walking motion in your finger
  • Keep checking in this way until all the breast and armpit area has been checked
  • Then place your right hand behind your head, repet the above examination on the right breast using your left hand
